RailAdventure train at the historic Alstom Litchurch Lane Works in Derby, UK. The site is the only facility in the UK that designs, engineers, builds, and tests trains on a single site. The train is hauled by two Derby-designed RailAdventure Class 43 locomotives. The site recently hosted "The Greatest Gathering," a public event celebrating Railway 200, the 200th anniversary of the world's first passenger train service. The works are currently building additional trains for London's Elizabeth line. In October 2025, the first-ever passenger train departed from the works, connecting Derby to Glasgow.
