Canadian Pacific 5016 (EMD GP35), 26 built, is at Port Coquitlam British Columbia, receiving a treatment to deal with the issue of throwing exhaust sparks, which could result in the setting of fires. By quickly and briefly advancing the layshaft which controls the fuel injectors, a snort of exhaust gasses could be created to hopefully dislodge some of the carbon deposits in a non-hazardous area.
