The E353 series is a DC tilting electric multiple unit (EMU) train operated by the East Japan Railway.
48151, the locomotive pictured, is one of several Stanier 8Fs in preservation. It was withdrawn from service in 1968, sent for scrap, saved by the Yorkshire Dales railway and restored. Picture taken in Coalville, the line is still in use.
